I am a data scientist, ecologist and SCR® climate risk specialist who is passionate about using data and innovative statistical and machine learning models to help solve real world problems in sustainability and climate.

This is my (not frequently updated) academic website.

My academic background as quantitative ecologist has ignited my passion for answering complex questions with data and advanced analytics. For my PhD at the University of British Columbia, I combined manipulative experiments, observational surveys along environmental gradients, and predictive statistical and machine learning models to study how single species and entire food webs respond to global change. As a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Living Data Project at the University of British Columbia (Vancouver and Okanagan campuses), I trained the next generation of scientists in best practices in reproducible research, collaboration, data management, and synthesis statistics.
